DMT Dimethyltryptamine Entity by rogdog DMT Dimethyltryptamine Entity by rogdog

..for an animated version of my DMT experience, and a 5 minute interview with visionary artist Alex Grey in which I ask via email of the spiritual danger of encountering wrathful Entities.

1190x1220 mm Reverse Backlit transparency in 2001.

created from a blank canvas in photoshop.

This image was inspired from my first unnatural encounter with the spirit molecule. An Entity that seemed extremely real and intelligent appeared before me with terrific precision and speed. It dissipated as soon as I imposed my will upon it. Many people have told me they have seen and felt Entities similar to this representation, it seems to be archetypally inherent within our inner domains.

Below is my first DMT experience

I was in a group of 6 people, inside at night time. The only light source was a candle in the centre of the room, and we were all around it. Anthony just had a huge dose, he did prana breathing with his dose and I was shaking with excitement... a full body shake that I could not control. Now it was my turn.

'Gastro' held the glass bong with the glass pipe attached, he lit it carefully making sure not to fully vaporise it, he said.

I inhaled as much as I could stand; it was instantly a shock, very harsh and strangely tasty, very concentrated, smelt exactly like a certain type of concentrated Chinese Jasmine tea. As I took in my second inhalation, I witnessed a very strange visual effect. The glass bong pipe and my hands rushed away into the distance and the background
view of the floor came straight for me.
The movie 'Contact' does the same effect brilliantly when Jodie Foster is in the sphere during her dimension jump. It got to the point where I knew I wouldn't be able to hold the bong-pipe. 'Gastro' took it off me and I sat back,
looking around the room. I looked straight at the
candle, which was separating before my eyes, two images of the candle was on either side of it, two different colours, the light I was perceiving in my visual field was separating. As I looked around the room a bit more, I saw the same effect happen everywhere, there was three images of everything, all slightly overlaying each other and transparent. I looked at 'Gastro' in astonishment and remember smiling, I could see him clearly, but also could perceive moving energy segments of brilliant colour all over his skin and bone structure of his face. I managed to push myself back in a last effort and lay back. About 15 seconds had passed since my second toke.

I know that I was having an intense revelation, one that I can not talk about here, but one I remember every time I use DMT, the revelation was one of Ultimate Realness, that is all I can say. The visuals I definitely recall with utmost clarity.

I closed my eyes and focused immediately into the distance, it was very clear, crystalline and symmetric yet totally organic. Out of the terrifyingly complex colours and patterns emerged and formed an entity that sneered at me, grinning wildly with two piercing eyes, it was free floating and fractalising. Swirling arms and appendages formed out of its now more solid ethereal body of light.

I sensed or imagined that smaller invisible beings were slicing me up across the chest and stomach with laser sharp instruments, it was painful, but somewhat acceptable and bearable. In retrospect, this was perhaps the DMT vapour touching my lung pathways. The Entity formed greater within my closed eye visual perception and was growing more menacing, I felt it trying to attach it self to me, or get inside me somehow. I did what I felt had to do. I mentally said and intended the thought 'COME ON THEN!' and threatened back at it what it was doing to me. With this, it started to dissipate, in the reverse way that it had formed. As it subsided away back into the colourful patterns and geometrics I pleaded with it to come back, but it had gone.

The first thing I communicated to the group was 'Carry on' then I said, with conviction,

'There's no such thing as fiction'

It was a truly life changing event, from this moment on, I realised that sorcery and shamanism was based upon direct personal experiences and that all of them had truth behind them.

It was exhibited in Los Angeles at the 3 day 'ThirdEyeGathering' event in 2004, Outback Eclipse Festival in South Australia in Dec 2002, Rainbow serpent in Victoria 2004 and 2009 and various other psy-trance parties around Adelaide

Brilliant stuff. I wish I had photographic memory and the drawing skills to draw the things I've seen in my psychedelic journeys. Theres an Amazonian shaman with photographic memory who draws his ayahuasca visions, his names Pablo Amaringo, they're pretty mind blowing some of them because they have elements that have absolutely nothing to do with Amazonian culture, some visions have Buddhist looking elements, some have angels and pillars that look very Christian/Jewish like. I don't know if he was exposed to other cultures of the world before he had those visions though, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't though.

From all the "DMT-Art" here, this one comes closest to what I actually saw with eyes closed.

Of course its not static but permanently moving and changing color and shape.

Open eyes will freak you out too if your dose is high enough.

Its like everything starts to develop tentacles that reach out for you and wiggle around.

During the whole process I had Goa trance on the headphones and weirdest thing was without doubt the timestretching I experienced. I was waiting for a base drum beat but none came - only that distorted grunge you get when you stretch a sample. Therefore I assumed that time was almost standing still but my mind was still working perfectly normal.

beautifully described, you're on the money with your assumption i reckon. you describe what i saw. I felt like it gives your perception the speed to capture what is going on, like a highspeed camera. yeah the actual experience of this entity vision was far more organic, tentacles i do recall, spinning and developing with astounding precision and clarity, utterly beautiful and disturbing!

I dont think my dose was high enuf to see "McKennas Elves". That is still on he to do list.

First of all it takes courage to go so far and second I have to find some more stuff first :-)

But I remember that moment with the sound, the visuals, the feeling of weightlessness to be an eternal moment of pure perfection.

Better than any opiate high. Pure bliss.

If death is anything like it then I will take it any day over the masochistic mess we made of Western society.

The only thing is, there is no turning back if it sucks :-)

this amazing, I woke straight out of a dream and consciously pushed myself into a natural DMT trip, before the oncoming visuals or "chrysanthemum" faded it formed this exact image (before I had even seen it before), it was inside the front half of my body, and I instantly felt as if it was me. It's third eye then burst in open in a brilliant white light and all my visuals had subsided, I found myself in every room I'd had ever been in, in this life and all others, a mirror in front of me, as I gazed into it I noticed that the top of my head was split open and tis infinite line of white light was pouring out of it. Like wise, I was surrounded by a massive green aura, constantly emanating in waves it was. There's more, but I think you get the gist. :) peace and love to you.

Amazing interpretation. My experience was so much more... electronic. This must have been incredibly difficult. Awesome job.

Dude... I saw some shit on my dmt trip... It opened my mind up. I can only describe the slip into the trip as if I were "dying" but i no longer had to breath, but remember to breath, part of everything but nothing. It was the SHIT. I can only recall what the energy being tells me when I trip dmt though. It's like an awakening.
It sounds like you and I had a very similar trip. I was with a group of friends and we all saw that energy creature you drew. It is so wild that you actually got this entity dead on. I remember before it appeared their was like a belt of ancient, colorful aztec or egyptian like patterns flowing into me or something like that.

I dont recall seeing any mystic symbols or language related stuff. wow it's such a distant memory, annoying because its the -realisation- that is the standout aspect of the experience. the visuals were just a side effect. i wonder if thats true, just a thought.
rogdog Featured By Owner Jun 7, 2011
woah , that is interesting! such a mystery. i still cannot look upon the experience in any logical way really, which i really like.

I was 16 and I felt the presence of myself, hopelessness and absolute power. I don't continue with its usage, but after that epic 15 minute life span. I see everything in a panoramic view now. It has made me a better person, and a better sentient being. God did hold me in their arms that afternoon.

that was awesome to read, thanks for sharing!

Actually this may sound retarded at the moment but I guarantee this will work. Do DMT again but don't stop at 2... You have to move on no matter what to 3 and YOU will actually get absorbed by the entity, not the other way around. After this you may reach a visual "wall". If you mentally stop at this wall, tempt yourself into a fourth. After this you will literally enter the domain of your own consciousness.
rogdog Featured By Owner Jan 13, 2011
sounds spot on, I did have the feeling I didn't have enough power (dosage) to maintain that space. I also feel I haven't had a proper DMT experience yet.

Wow, very interesting.... I love the artwork, and the description of your experience sounds amazing.
I've been kinda obsessed with DMT after I first heard about it 4 or 5 years ago. I have still not been able to find any yet. I am about to the point that I might try making it myself because it doesn't seem to exist in my area.
Awesome artwork tho!! You have added to my determination to experience what you have experienced. :D

sooo trippy, i love this picture *_*
ahh im hesitant of trying dmt still :\,
i know it'll be amazing but i want to be 100% relaxed when i do, becuase you cant recreate that first trip experiance!

did you find that it had an intense body load? last week i finally tried acid and the one thing that i found hard to handle was ,surprisingly not the visuals, but the really weird sensations i felt in my chest/stomach area through out the trip, like it would have been way more enjoyable without that feeling.... is it like that with dmt as well

anyways i wish i had this hanging on my wall or something lol
rogdog Featured By Owner Feb 2, 2010
Cheers for commenting. I think it's a great idea to be hesitant in trying DMT, right up to the last second before you smoke it. The fear is useful for maintaining a sharp focus on staying aware. You will feel very strange and maybe painful sensations. These are bearable and become really a side thought to whats going on through and around you while you briefly catch a glimpse of something so strange and unbelievable. It's truly a miracle.
